MAKING THE PUNCH

The punch is make from a short piece of pipe that has a 2" inside diameter.   This isn’t hyper critical although a little smaller is better.

This is because if the disk isn’t firmly attached to its holder then there is a greater chance that it will fly off or fold over on itself which reduces this usefulness of this technique.

Notice that this piece is even threaded. The threads don't get in the way. The bevel on the punch is a little steeper than 45° and only needs to be touched up after a couple hundred disks.
