Kestrel Creek's Mission
Wood grows from the earth and is an expression
of the perfection of the life force. Wood in its unaltered state possesses
a natural aura that invites the eye and beckons the touch. It is a
sacred material with unlimited potential.
The artist in wood has a special responsibility to discover
this potential and to enhance it by applying the principles of good craftsmanship
and design to produce an object of great value. When the synergy of material
and design are fully realized, the object made of wood has great powers; it can
soothe, elicit deep feelings, and beautify its surroundings.
Kestrel Creek is dedicated to making
special objects made of wood available to others and helping others
with the noble endeavor we call woodturning. Ultimately,
we are convinced that promoting an awareness of the spiritual potential
of art made of wood will make the world a better place.

THE FUTURE
Watch for a schedule of special gallery showings. We are planning a
online exhibition entitled "The Spirit of the Tree". Entries for this juried exhibition will be solicited world wide.
