| One of the traditions that has always been a part of the wood
turning movement is the sharing of ideas.
At Kestrel Creek, we have learned that critical feedback and the ongoing
opportunity to share ideas are essential in our quest to improve our
turning and our artistic achievements. Every piece produced by the three
of us gets a thorough critique by the other two.
We also try to have brainstorm sessions on a regular basis to improve
existing ideas and to come up with new concepts.
At one of these sharing sessions we were discussing this issue and we
came up with the idea to expand the concept to include others. What if
we gave others the opportunity to participate in an in depth critique of
a piece of work or a new idea? In that case it would be possible to
receive and share many more ideas. The possibilities for
improvement increase exponentially!
Our feature called the CRITIQUE CENTRAL PROJECT will provide anyone visiting
our website the opportunity to participate in the critique of an actual
turning project . Click on the link or image to participate. All comments will be
displayed for others to see. Please add your ideas even if you agree
with the ideas already presented. We can all improve our skills and
learn from
each other. We look forward to hearing from you.
