"Ellie's Dreams"

This piece shows the evolution of the root concept. It is turned and
then
carved from a solid block of African Ebony. The small finial is made
from
Amboynia burl. As wood comes from the Earth, the vessel twists and grows
from the imagination. The source of the wood and its physical properties
suggest that it should be made into an object that is both organic in
form and pleasing to the eye and touch
